"Etudes from the Sounds Between Us"

Music is the most basic language of humanity. The vibrations from musical instruments travel through the air and enter our bodies, echoing within our ears and vibrating upon our skin. It is a wordless language interacting directly with our emotions and expressing that which is beyond words. As creatures of rhythm, our hearts beat in a continuous tempo with beautiful symphonies waiting to be realized.

My instruments explore the musical and chordal conversations that exist between people. These instruments utilize the human body, the unique rhythms and melodies of each individual, and the physical interactions between people to generate its notes. The musical conversation that these instruments provide is a melody of bodies in rhythm and individuals in harmony.
